  1.  Marjane's parents sent her to Europe for a possible large list of reasons. One of the reasons is that she ruined her reputation at school, for example on pg.144 she corrects the teacher and the the teacher clearly didn't like it the teacher and on pg.145 Marji's mother shows her concern with what dangers there are in Iran, which is another possible reason. Because of what she did in school, the only wise solution was to send her to a school somewhere out of Iran.  Personally the thought of being sen away from home and family scares me so I don't think it was the best decision that could have been made, I think she could have been home schooled but if school wasn't the only reasoning for the decision then maybe it was not as bad of a decision. One thing is for sure is that Marji was not really thrilled with this decision.

  1. Great post! I agree, I feel like there could have been a better solution, instead of sending her to a different country they could have thought of some options in Iran.
